Employment & Volunteer Openings
Volunteer Opportunities
The Arts Council maintains a staff of five regular employees and we depend on significant volunteer support. We welcome the assistance of volunteers, ages 13 and above. Those wishing to volunteer should provide Sandy Oxx with their e-mail address, as volunteer needs are communicated through a monthly E-Bulletin
Special Event Volunteering
The majority of our volunteer needs are serving as an usher or working at the concession area during evening and weekend shows. We also use a large number of volunteers at special events such as Art in the Park, Festival of Wreaths and the Peep Show. We are also willing to accept clerical volunteers who wish to work a regular shift of at least 3 hours each week.
Summer Arts Camp Counselors
The Arts Council needs cheerful, energetic young people, at least 13-years old, to assist with summer arts camp as volunteer camp counselors. They will assist campers with arts and craft projects, snack time, sing-a-longs, field trips, etc. Counselors can earn community service hours for their time and must be able to make a commitment for an entire camp session. Download the current Counselor application.
Theatre Internships
Interns provide support for the Arts Council’s children’s productions. Candidates must be professional, self-motivated and reliable. Experience in theatre or working with children is preferred but not necessary. Positions are voluntary and do not earn school credit, but interns can receive community service hours. Interns will gain leadership skills and practical experience as a result of participation. This internship requires a commitment for the length of the rehearsals and performances, as well as production meetings. Contact Tabetha White for more information.
