Classes & Camps
The Arts Council offers a variety of classes, camps and workshops for all ages and abilities. From the visual arts, to craft workshops to yoga to drama, we pride ourselves in having talented and enthusiastic teachers who set a nurturing and creative atmosphere. We have a variety of options to help you develop your artistic talents. Some classes are sponsored by the Arts Council, others are offered by independent teachers and organizations. All promise to stretch your imagination and inspire you to explore your creativity.
Class Registration
Classes fill quickly, so avoid disappointment by registering early. Classes must be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met two weeks prior to class start. Receipt of payment in full is required to reserve your space. You will receive confirmation via email one week prior to the beginning of class. You may register and pay online using the form associated with each class listing
Cancellations & Refunds
In the event of insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be given. No refunds are given for missed classes or early withdrawal. A refund, less a $10 processing fee, will be granted for cancellations made no less than 14 days in advance of class start. No refunds will be granted after that point. In the event of inclement weather any class cancellations will be announced on our website as well as in emails sent directly to all students. In the event of a cancellation, a make-up class will be scheduled by the instructor.
Supplies
Where applicable a required supply list will be provided to students via email at least one week before the start of class. It is not always necessary to buy new supplies. Bring what you have; share with a friend. Instructors will be happy to suggest ways to save money on your supplies.
Specially Arranged Classes for Home Schoolers
Visual Arts Coordinator, Susan Williamson, is always willing to work with the parents of groups of home schooled children to design and schedule special classes to meet curriculum requirements. A minimum guaranteed number of children must be met prior to designing the class. Please contact Susan Williamson for more information.
Our popular annual summer camps offer a variety of fun and education experiences for children in a diverse range of ages. Camps for younger children offer a wide variety of artistic experiences from painting and sculpting to singing on stage. Our more intensive camps for teens offer the opportunity to learn about and experience the many aspects of specific art topics such as live theater. The summer camp schedule is available March 1st and includes information on all of the camp options available.
