Children’s Theatre Troupe

The Arts Council in partnership with the Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s “Fun Company” mount fully staged musicals featuring young people from the area. While the audition process is run in a very professional, authentic manner, our goal is to cast as many children as possible. Families pay a modest tuition to be part of the cast which includes a script, cast t-shirt, music CD, most costume pieces, 2 complimentary tickets and the cast party. Typically our fall show is for middle-school aged actors, and our spring production is for elementary aged actors. A high school production may be held during the summer. Auditions for "Groovy"

A Musical Comedy Tribute to the 1960s
Tuesday, September 7th from 4:00 to 6:00pm
at the Carroll Arts Center in Westminster MD

“Groovy” will be a musical production for Middle School actors in grades 6-8, directed by Julie Herber of the Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s Fun Company.

Actors should come to the audition prepared to sing 16 bars of a song of their choice with no accompaniment. Actors should come wearing clothing appropriate to move onstage- no skirts, flip flops etc. All actors and parents should report at 4:00 pm for orientation. Call backs will be September 8th if needed

Performances will be November 12th 13th & 14th
Tuition is- $125 members, $140 non-members. Scholarship assistance is available.
